As an Occupational Therapist at MercyOne, You Will
Schedule: Per Diem (PRN)
- Varied day shift hours
- Weekend rotation
- Holiday rotation
General Requirements
Must be able to function as an occupational therapist in all commonly practiced aspects of patient evaluation and treatment appropriate for the assigned age group.
- Must have ability to give clear instructions to individuals and groups ranging from infant to geriatric.
- Must have ability to plan day-to-day activities and work independently.
- Must be able to put patients at ease and make them comfortable.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively work with other hospital employees and guests.
Education
- Registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NCBOT)
- Bachelor’s Degree Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as an Occupational Therapist.

Key Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist will perform patient evaluations and treatments across various age groups, from infants to geriatrics. They are responsible for planning daily activities and working independently to ensure patient comfort and effective care.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the NCBOT. Additionally, they must possess or be eligible for a State of Iowa license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
