The Registered Psychologist is primarily responsible for providing direct clinical care, including intake assessment and individual counselling, to undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate learners within the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. This involves supporting learner wellbeing, resilience, and academic success while operating within the ethical codes of the College of Alberta Psychologists.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology and be registered in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists, along with 3 to 5 years of professional counselling experience. Essential qualifications include proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, crisis intervention skills, and strong understanding of relevant legislation and ethical guidelines.
