Job Description

Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware in Wilmington is seeking an exceptional fellowship-trained Pediatric Urologist to join its nationally recognized, growing Division of Urology. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated physician to advance their clinical practice, contribute to academic and research initiatives, and collaborate with a highly skilled team committed to delivering leading-edge pediatric urologic care.

Ranked in the Top 50 Best Children’s Hospitals for Urology by U.S. News and World Report, this group of innovative and academically active pediatric urologists practice in Delaware, South Jersey, Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Maryland. This position involves full-time responsibility as an attending pediatric urologist with opportunities in clinical and outcome research.

Faculty appointment commensurate with experience is offered through Thomas Jefferson University, Sidney Kimmel Medical College.

The candidate should have experience in all aspects of pediatric urology including genital reconstruction, urinary tract reconstruction, fetal urology, and voiding disorders. Participation in daily clinical activities including the operating room, consultation, fetal therapy meetings and multidisciplinary and specialty clinics will allow a diverse exposure to all areas of pediatric urology.

  • Diverse, experienced group of 4 pediatric urologists
  • Experienced team of 4 APNs, 1 PA-C, and 3 Urology Specialty Nurses supporting outpatient clinics and inpatient care
  • Delaware’s only Level IV NICU and region-wide referral of neonates from multiple affiliated Level III NICUs
  • Opportunity to educate Urology Residents from several programs including Thomas Jefferson University and Cooper University.
  • Extensive research support through our internal NASOC (Nemours Anesthesia and Surgery Outcomes Center) an advanced research center in the Department of Surgery
  • Robotic surgery opportunities
  • Multi-disciplinary collaboration within our new Delaware Valley Advanced Delivery Unit offering leading-edge prenatal diagnosis and fetal intervention services

Key Responsibilities

The pediatric urologist will provide full-time clinical care, including surgical procedures and consultations, while participating in multidisciplinary fetal therapy meetings. Additionally, the physician will contribute to academic and research initiatives and educate urology residents.
