This contract position requires an on-site presence and offers a unique opportunity to impact patient care within a collaborative medical practice environment.
As a Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team, providing high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients. You'll have the chance to work on various cases and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is designed for an Associate-level professional ready to engage directly with patients and enhance their clinical skills in a supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage the care of hospitalized patients with a focus on Internal Medicine
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing and allied health teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment
- Participate in daily rounds and team meetings to discuss patient progress
- Document all patient interactions and care plans accurately in EMR systems
- Adhere to hospital policies and protocols for patient management
- Engage in continuous professional development and education
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid state license
- Relevant experience in a hospitalist role or Internal Medicine (Associate level)
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Adept at teamwork and collaboration in a healthcare environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Schedule: 7p-7a, 7 on/7 off
Nightly Census: 6-8 admissions
Duties: Admissions and cross cover
No procedures required
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
DEA & ACLS required
Paid travel & expenses
