• Day in the Life of a Medical Director
• Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in our outpatient clinic settings
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments as indicated by patient assessment

Complete Medical Documentation per Crossroads Standards

• Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic care to patients, including referrals to other medical providers and community services
• Provide injections if needed

• Primary center: Tyler
• Target weekly hours: 8 hours (in person once a week 5am-11am and admin work no more than 30 minutes 4 days a week)

Education and Licensure Requirements

MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Texas medical licensure, DEA and authorized to practice medicine in the Texas.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in addiction medicine, preferably with experience treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder.

Board certified in primary specialty in one of the following: Family Practice/Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Practice, Psychiatry

Experience in an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), substance use disorder (SUD) treatment setting, addiction medicine practice or similar clinical environment,

Must meet applicable requirements of the Texas Administrative Code governing Narcotic Treatment Programs and Medical Directors.
