Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician for inpatient settings.

Conduct physical exams, collect and document data, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe interventions and medications, and coordinate patient care and discharge.

Maintain clinical responsibility for applying the Nurse Practitioner (NP) standard of care, including patient care, consultation, education, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master of Nursing Degree and be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Required credentials include an unrestricted CA RN License, Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License, national NP certification, DEA License (schedule 2-5), current ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years of experience as an NP in General Surgery or Emergency General Surgery.
