Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine is the leading cardiology practice dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered cardiovascular care across the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cardiology Physician Assistant to join our highly collaborative team of cardiologists and advanced practice clinicians in our Martinsburg, West Virginia clinic.
As a Cardiology Physician Assistant in our Martinsburg office, you will provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care by independently evaluating and managing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions while collaborating with supervising cardiologists and a supportive care team. This position focuses on continuity of care, thorough patient education, and effective management of chronic and acute cardiac concerns.
You will work in a modern ambulatory setting with access to advanced diagnostic tools, EPIC EMR, and the resources of Winchester Cardiology’s broader network. Essential Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in the outpatient cardiology clinic, including evaluation, follow-up visits, and ongoing management of cardiac conditions.
Respond to patient messages, phone calls, and clinical inquiries through EPIC and other communication channels, providing timely assessment and coordination of care.
Document all patient encounters in accordance with CMS and practice standards, including comprehensive note writing, test result review, follow-up communication, and obtaining informed consents when appropriate.
Review and interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs) and communicate findings to the care team as appropriate.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Schedule
Full-Time position operating during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, working five (5) 8-hour shifts.
- No evening, night, or weekend call.
- No weekend working hours.
Select paid holidays off. Holiday coverage may be required to meet patient care needs and will be assigned based on departmental schedules and operational requirements.
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000 annually. Starting pay within the posted range is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, education, and qualifications. The range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Prior Physician Assistant experience is not required.
- Eligible for or currently hold an active West Virginia Physician Assistant license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire.
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Knowledge of CMS documentation guidelines, coding requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), preferably EPIC.
Ability to assess, diagnose, develop treatment plans, and manage patients across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, and clinical excellence.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to meet all credentialing, privileging, and background screening requirements established by Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine and affiliated healthcare facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Physician Assistant.
- Previous clinical rotation experience in cardiology or a related specialty.
- Experience using EPIC electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, use a computer, and operate standard office and clinical equipment for extended periods, up to 10 hours per day
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout clinic and hospital environments for extended periods, up to 10 hours per day
Ability to lift and carry up to 50? lbs.
Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday
