The role is responsible for planning and implementing patient nutrition care according to regulations and clinical guidelines, while also providing oversight for safe and accurate food service coordination with the Culinary Services Manager. Essential functions include conducting initial and reassessment of all patients, prescribing nutrition therapy, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, and conducting nutrition education for patients and staff.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field, along with current Registered Dietitian licensure/certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration and the State Licensing Board. Two years of experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred, along with knowledge of evidence-based clinical nutrition guidelines and food production safety.
