Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)
Inpatient, Full-time, Weekend Plan

- Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, Ft. Worth, TX 76104
- Physical Therapy department
Work hours: Weekend Plan: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Every Saturday and Sunday (1 weekend off every 13-weeks) 7:00AM-3:30PM, as well as 3 days per week, 7:30AM to 4:00PM, 8-hour shifts, with occasional holiday coverage.

What You Will Do
- Follow plan for care, or appropriate therapeutic intervention to achieve stated goals.
- Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.
- Documents all aspects of assessment and plan of care in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines
- Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment
- Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
- Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs.
- Participate in discharge planning for patient.
- Attends hospital, department, and community meetings / educational in-services.
- Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration
