Work Schedule

This position offers no call requirements, day shifts only. Work with Ochsner Health in Louisiana.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves providing respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric, including monitoring, weaning, drawing and analyzing blood gases, and delivering intermittent therapy. Responsibilities also include assisting with changing artificial airways and performing routine and advanced therapeutic procedures as ordered by a physician.
Requirements
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree and have no required prior work experience, but must hold a current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice and be credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist. Essential requirements include BLS certification, and ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire, with NRP required only for those working in the NICU.
