Job Description

Licensed Medical Provider | Hooper Detox | Central City Concern

Join Central City Concern’s Hooper Detoxification and Stabilization Center, where you will provide medical care to people in inpatient and outpatient withdrawal management.

As a Licensed Medical Provider (MD/DO, NP, or PA), you will work alongside the medical director and a collaborative care team, many who know firsthand the challenges of withdrawal and early stabilization.

You will manage acute and chronic conditions, write admission orders, and connect patients to a full continuum of care, from Hepatitis C treatment to specialty mental health and overdose prevention. You will also help shape how care is delivered through quality improvement efforts.

If you have a background in addiction medicine or mental health and a passion for serving people affected by homelessness and underserved communities, this is a chance to deliver care that offers the first rays of hope on a long journey.

Make a Real Difference

  • Be there at the moment it matters most, helping people through withdrawal and early stabilization when your care can change everything.
  • Serve people affected by homelessness and underserved communities alongside a team that leads with respect and a non-judgmental approach.
  • Work shoulder to shoulder with colleagues who have walked the road of recovery themselves, living proof that recovery is possible.

Practice Medicine with Breadth and Purpose

  • Never get bored: you will write admission orders, including medications for opioid use disorder, and manage both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Bring your full clinical toolkit, from health histories, physical exams, and procedures to prescribing and treatment planning.
  • Open doors for your patients to a full continuum of care, including Hepatitis C treatment, specialty mental health, and overdose prevention programs.

Grow Within a Collaborative Team

  • Team up with the medical director, RNs, case managers, and pharmacy-based collaborative drug therapy programs, because no one here practices alone.
  • Put your fingerprints on how care is delivered through quality improvement work and by helping onboard and train fellow providers.
  • Step into the teacher’s seat by leading and joining provider education sessions on a wide range of clinical topics.

Ready to Be Someone’s First Ray of Hope?

At Hooper, your work is the start of someone’s next chapter. If you are ready for a role where your skills, your heart, and your team all pull in the same direction, we would love for you to connect. Apply today and help write the first page of a new beginning.
