The role involves providing care for OB and GYN emergencies in the ER and labor & delivery, managing unassigned patients, and accepting transfers from smaller regional hospitals. Additionally, the physician will provide backup call coverage for the OB/GYN practice and supervise first and second-year family medicine residents along with one FM-OB fellow.
Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in OB/GYN and hold an MD or DO degree. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain an unrestricted license to practice in Iowa and possess the necessary state and federal authority to prescribe medications.
