Expectations:
Nurse Practitioners perform a vital role in Huntington Health Physicians' commitment to deliver effective and efficient quality health care services to its patients. The Nurse Practitioner will be working with a growing team and will be responsible to provide comprehensive services primarily in medical office, up to and including consultative service, and occasionally in hospital. A Nurse Practitioner's practice incorporates both independent decision-making abilities and collaboration with the board certified/eligible physician to provide expert care to the patients. This role enhances competency skills through continuing education programs. This role has the ability to provide care to special patient population and those with diverse cultural background. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible to the physician partners and/or supervising physician.
EDUCATION
Master of Science Degree in Nursing required.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner; outpatient setting preferred; experience with EHR preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Required: Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) with Furnishing License issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Current National Provider Number (NPI) issued by Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number issued by DEA Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
Preferred
Current Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN-S)
SKILLS
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) coordinates and case manages the patient through the full continuum of care, orchestrating patient flow through a comprehensive care plan, working to ensure that care is appropriate, timely, authorized and conducted in the most appropriate setting. Coordinates the care of the patient serving as the liaison between community physicians and Huntington Health Physicians’ resources. Provides clinical, professional expertise and leadership for patients, families, and staff members. The Nurse Practitioner must be able to work independently and with a team. Patient focused. Excellent customer service skills with patients, families, physicians and staff. Able to project a positive self-image and be self-motivated. Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Department: Madison Shift Duration: 8 Primary Shift: Days Time Type: Full time Location: 65 N Madison Ave, Pasdena, CA 91101 Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $141,752.00 - $212,638.40. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
