Key Responsibilities
The Certified Anesthesiology Assistant will evaluate patients, perform pre-anesthetic physical exams, and assist anesthesiologists in inducing and maintaining sedation or anesthesia. They are also responsible for monitoring patients, managing airways, and providing supportive treatment during surgical procedures and postoperative recovery.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and have successfully completed an accredited anesthesiologist assistant program. Current state licensure and certification from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants are required.
