Position Summary

CFG Health Network is seeking a New Jersey-licensed Psychiatrist to provide per diem, remote telepsychiatry coverage for Princeton House Behavioral Health and Princeton Medical Center.

The psychiatrist will be contacted on an as-needed basis when a second psychiatric commitment evaluation (“2nd PC”) is required. Evaluations will be conducted remotely via telepsychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote psychiatric evaluations when a second psychiatric commitment evaluation/certification is required
• Assess patients and determine whether criteria for involuntary psychiatric commitment are met
• Review relevant clinical information and collaborate with the on-site treatment team
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Communicate clinical findings and recommendations to appropriate clinical staff
• Provide services in accordance with New Jersey regulations, facility policies, and applicable standards of care

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (within 5 years of residency)
• Active and unrestricted New Jersey medical license
• Experience with emergency psychiatry, crisis evaluations, and/or psychiatric commitment evaluations preferred
• Comfortable conducting psychiatric evaluations via telepsychiatry
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Schedule

Per Diem / As Needed – Remote

The psychiatrist will be contacted on an as-needed basis when a second PC is requested. This is a flexible opportunity for a psychiatrist interested in supplemental remote psychiatric work without a regularly scheduled patient caseload.
