The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care to critically ill and injured patients within the Neurocritical Care unit. This involves collaborating with and working under the direction of physicians in the Neuro-Endovascular and Neuro Critical Care Program, adhering to established standards.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing with ANCC or AANP certification, or a physician assistant program, and must possess current CPR and ACLS certifications. Successful completion of an approved NP or PA program is required, along with the ability to react calmly in emergencies and obtain NIH Stroke Scale certification within three months of employment.
