Key Responsibilities
The Registered Respiratory Therapist administers diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures to facilitate patient breathing and evaluates the effectiveness of care. They are responsible for maintaining patient airways, performing invasive procedures like suctioning and arterial blood gas sampling, and responding to emergency codes.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care and possess a valid RRT certification from the NBRC. An active Ohio respiratory care license and CPR certification are also required for this position.
