About the Role

As a Staff Dentist, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive dental care to patients across diverse age groups and backgrounds. Your primary objective will be to diagnose, treat, and manage oral health issues while promoting preventive care and patient education. You will collaborate closely with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience. This role demands a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and ethical practice. Ultimately, your work will contribute to improving the overall oral health and well-being of the community served by the practice.

Minimum Qualifications

* Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
* Valid and unrestricted dental license to practice in the United States.  Obtaining an Alaskan dental license within one year of employment is required.
* Completion of any required state or regional board examinations.
* Demonstrated clinical experience in general dentistry.
* Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, pathology, and treatment protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

* Advanced training or certification in specialized areas such as orthodontics, endodontics, or oral surgery.
* Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatric and geriatric patients.
* Familiarity with digital dental technologies such as CAD/CAM systems and digital radiography.
* Participation in continuing education courses and professional dental organizations.
* Proven ability to manage complex cases and multidisciplinary treatment planning.

Responsibilities

* Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health conditions.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including restorative, preventive, and surgical procedures.
* Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, and periodontal treatments with precision and care.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment maintenance to promote long-term dental health.
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with dental team members to optimize patient care and clinic operations.
* Stay current with advancements in dental technology, techniques, and best practices through continuous professional development.
