The Challenge (Job Summary)

As a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you have the opportunity to live

community through our engagement and volunteer efforts. In addition, the ideal
candidate will be responsible for providing primary care services, including
assessing and managing patients in the clinic following established standards
and practices. 

Your Day to Day & Essential Functions

* You’ll comply with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations and policies.
* You’ll perform a complete physical exam, obtain complete medical history and
records findings. You will also orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic
procedures and interprets and integrates data to determine preliminary
diagnosis and therapeutic plan.
* You will administer medications and injections in compliance with state law
and clinic guidelines. Sutures minor lacerations.
* You will instruct patient/family regarding medications and treatments.
* You will have the opportunity to educate patients regarding health and
illness prevention.
* You will recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
* You get to collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term
medical needs of patients, provide monitoring and continuity of care between
physician visits. You also will maintain and review patient records, charts
and other pertinent information.  In addition, you will posts tests and
examination results and triage patient telephone calls and provides
consultation.
* You will be required to maintain patient confidentiality 

What You Need to Succeed

* MSN Preferred
* Successful Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner pr Physician
Assistant program.
* Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting
plus two years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience.
* Current State of Ohio CNP/APRN/PA license
* Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and regulations to give
and evaluate patient care. 
* Knowledge of how to use medical equipment and instruments to administer
patient care.
* Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a
safe work environment.
* Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of
professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.
* Skill in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret
findings.
* Ability to navigate through electronic medical records- EPIC experience is
preferred but not required
* Ability to maintain quality control standards.
* Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
* Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
* Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working
relationships with patients, medical staff and the public. 

Certificates and Licenses Required

1. Registered Nurse (RN) License
2. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) License pr Physician Assistant
(PA) License

Working Conditions & Physical Demands: The work environment is well-lit,
well-ventilated, and designed for comfort and efficiency. This position requires
sitting for extended periods, as well as occasional stooping, bending, or
reaching. The ideal candidate must be able to view computer screens for long
durations and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative office setting.
For patient care–related roles, the position may also require standing for long
periods and the ability to lift or assist patients, medical equipment, or
supplies — generally up to 25–50 pounds, as needed to support safe and effective
care.
