The counselor facilitates group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and coping strategies while monitoring client progress and behavior. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to the upkeep of the residential facility.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, with a bachelor's or associate degree and relevant experience preferred. Possession of a CASAC or CASAC-T certification is highly desired along with 1-2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling.
