The physician will provide medical treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, averaging 5-6 patients per hour, and will be responsible for prescribing treatment, referring patients for follow-up care, and educating patients. They must evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine and/or Emergency Medicine, with preferred certification in Urgent Care Medicine. Applicants must also be able to obtain an unrestricted Iowa medical license and hold the necessary prescribing authority.
