Job Description
Performs audiological evaluations utilizing appropriate diagnostic tests to identify individuals with hearing loss. Provides rehabilitation/habilitation of individuals with hearing impairment. Evaluates and treats patients ranging in age from newborns through geriatrics. Counsels patients and/or their families as to test results and recommended treatment plans. Communicates results and management plans orally and in writing to physicians, educational planners, other health care professionals and federal agencies. Ensures quality patient care by adhering to patient privacy and confidentiality regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Performs audiological evaluations and diagnostic tests to identify hearing loss in patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. Develops and communicates treatment plans to patients, families, and healthcare professionals while ensuring patient privacy.
Requirements
Requires a Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology with less than one year of experience. Professional licensure in New Jersey and ASHA certification are preferred.
