Description: Family Practice Nurse Practitioner (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

This position is with Shawnee Health and will service Shawnee Health locations between Jackson and Williamson County
We are looking for a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is passionate about providing high-quality, comprehensive care to all individuals. Our team values respect and compassion, and we aim to create a supportive and welcoming environment for our patients and staff.
Responsibilities include
* Providing comprehensive preventive care and education for patients of all ages
* Diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions including chronic disease and illnesses
* Providing women’s health services and family planning
* Prescribing and managing patient medications
* Ordering tests and initiating internal and external referrals
* Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely patient records and contribute to organizational metrics and quality measures
* Collaborate with a team of health professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements/Qualifications
* Highly interested in providing family oriented primary care to patients from infant to older age
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Computer literacy/maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic health records
* Support the mission and values of Shawnee Health
Education & Training
* A Nurse Practitioner Master’s Degree or Physician Assistant Master’s Degree
* Board Certification in appropriate field
* Current State of Illinois, controlled substance, and Federal DEA licensure
Experience
* A minimum of two years’ experience in Family Medicine with the above certification.
