Job Description
SurgCenter of Palm Beach Gardens is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surgical First Assistant to join our outpatient surgical team. The First Assistant will play a critical role in supporting surgeons during procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and surgical excellence. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about perioperative care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Surgical First Assistant supports surgeons during operative procedures by providing technical assistance such as suturing and hemostasis. They also collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a sterile field and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or equivalent credential along with current BLS and ACLS certifications. A minimum of 2 years of surgical first assisting experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center, is required.
