Key Responsibilities

The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for providing various patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, APP, or registered nurse. They must perform these duties in accordance with established clinical guidelines and standards.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and have completed an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or possess one year of relevant clinical experience. A BCLS certification and a CMA-AAMA or NCMA certification are required.
