Job Description
Clinical Internship Opportunities – Social Work & Counseling Students
Application Deadline: Applications for Winter 2027 internship opportunities are expected to close during the first week of December 2026. We encourage interested students to apply early, as placement availability is limited.
About the Internship Opportunity
Easterseals MORC offers unpaid clinical internship opportunities for social work and counseling students interested in gaining hands-on experience within a community mental health setting.
Internship opportunities may be available across a variety of programs and departments. Placement opportunities vary based on your academic level (bachelor’s or master’s), clinical experience, program requirements, student interests, and available internship openings.
Our goal is to provide students with meaningful learning experiences that support the development of clinical, case management, care coordination, assessment, and other behavioral health skills.
Please note: These internship opportunities are unpaid and do not include compensation for internship hours.

Application & Screening Process
When submitting your application, please carefully complete all required screening questions. Your responses will help us better understand your academic program, internship requirements, areas of interest, and experience so we can determine whether an available opportunity may be a good fit.
Completing an internship application does not guarantee an interview or internship placement with Easterseals MORC. Because internship capacity is limited, we cannot guarantee placement for every student who applies.
University Affiliation Requirement
Before an internship placement can be finalized, Easterseals MORC must have an active affiliation agreement on file with the student’s college or university.
If your university does not currently have an active affiliation agreement with Easterseals MORC, a placement cannot be confirmed until the required agreement has been fully established and approved. Establishing a new affiliation agreement may require additional time and does not guarantee that an internship placement will be available.
Important Information
Easterseals MORC has a limited number of internship placements available each semester. Placement decisions are based on available positions, program needs, supervisor capacity, academic requirements, and alignment between the student’s goals and the internship opportunity.
We encourage students to submit complete and thoughtful applications and provide accurate information regarding their academic requirements and areas of interest.
