Job Description
Responsible for coordinating specialized genetic counseling services for identified patient populations by designing, developing, implementing and supervising patient/family genetic counseling programs. Analyzes and interprets information about the genetic disorder and inheritance patterns to aid in diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Counsels patients and families by explaining aspects of the disease, current state of knowledge, and potential diagnostic techniques.

The genetic counselor coordinates specialized genetic counseling services and develops patient/family programs. They analyze genetic information to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases while providing support to patients and families.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in genetic counseling. They are required to have knowledge of clinical neurogenetics, human genetics, and the psychosocial aspects of patient care.
