Job Description
The Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, is seeking to hire a Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level to join an expanding 50-member faculty practice.
The position will be based at the Boston Campus of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with a full-time academic appointment at Harvard Medical School. Requirements
Successful applicants will be fully trained and Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and interested in developing a career in academic Gastroenterology, with additional training in Hepatology.
The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) are seeking candidates for a full-time position in clinical general GI to develop a practice within a growing and dynamic community institution. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate seeking to develop a career in general GI in a community based practice.
Responsibilities will include outpatient consultations and endoscopy procedures at the main campus (BIDMC), as well as attending on the gastroenterology inpatient services at BIDMC. The applicant is expected to be actively engaged in all aspects of community based care models.
As a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, BIDMC and the Department of Medicine, provide a clinically advanced and supportive academic environment for residents, fellows, and faculty.

The candidate will be appointed to the faculty of Harvard Medical School at an academic rank commensurate with experience.

Pay Range
$170,000 - $603,000
The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time.
Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations.
In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
Key Responsibilities
The Gastroenterologist will perform outpatient consultations and endoscopy procedures at the main campus while attending to inpatient gastroenterology services. The role also involves active engagement in community-based care models and participation in teaching residents and fellows.
Requirements
