Job Description

Centered in the heart of San Joaquin County, Adventist Health Lodi Memorial has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1952.

We are comprised of a 190-bed hospital, 17 medical offices, home care services, comprehensive cancer care and a vast scope of award-winning services located throughout Lodi and the surrounding areas. Job Summary

Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

  • Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required
  • Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

  • Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
  • American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred

Facility Specific License/Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy:

Essential Functions

  • Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment.
  • Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Assists in data collection of patient outcomes.
  • Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts.
  • Supervises assistants and support staff.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent and state licensure as a Speech Pathologist. Candidates must hold current BLS/CPR certification and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
