- Location: Fort Worth, TX
- Reports To: Medical Director
- Schedule: As needed for PTO, call-outs, and other provider coverage needs
- Work Arrangement: Onsite preferred; telehealth coverage may be considered when onsite coverage is unavailable
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Supervising Physician, the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care, including assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing both acute and chronic health conditions.
This position will serve as backup provider coverage for our Fort Worth office when regularly scheduled providers are unavailable. We are seeking someone who can preferably report to the office in person when coverage is needed. Providers who are unable to provide onsite coverage but are available to support patients through telehealth may also be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct physical assessments and review patient histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications and establish treatment plans within scope of practice.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medication use, and preventive care.
- Maintain complete and timely EMR documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff.
- Provide PRN coverage due to PTO, illness, and other provider absences.
- Provide onsite coverage whenever available.
- Provide telehealth services when appropriate and approved.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Board certification as an NP or PA.
- Experience in primary care, urgent care, or family medicine.
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
- Flexible availability for short-term or as-needed coverage.
- Onsite availability strongly preferred.

The provider is responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic health conditions. They will serve as a backup provider for the Fort Worth office, collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure continuity of care.
