Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations, histories, and physical exams for new and follow-up cardiology patients.

• Manage and monitor patients with common cardiovascular conditions s​uch as hypertension, coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, hyperlipidemia, etc.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including EKGs, Holter monitors, echocardiograms, and stress tests.

• Assist in care coordination for patients undergoing procedures or referred for specialty care.

Requirements

• Qualifications:​ Current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Hawaii, or eligibility to obtain one.

• National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).

• BLS and AC​LS certification required.

• A minimum of 1–2 years of cardiology or internal medicine experience is preferred, but strong new graduates with relevant rotations or an RN background in cardiology will be considered.
