The Primary Care Physician conducts medical assessments, evaluations, and provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues for patients in a correctional setting. This role also involves supervising medical treatment for chronic conditions and participating in organizational initiatives focused on disease and injury prevention.
Candidates must be Board Certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and possess an active, unrestricted California Medical License for MD or DO, along with an active, unrestricted DEA registration certificate and current ACLS and CPR certifications. Applicants must also be able to pass a background check and obtain security clearance.
