- Hourly Rate: $60–$80/hour
About the Opportunity
AnthroMed Education is partnering with an elementary school to welcome a dedicated School Psychologist for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, temporary opportunity will support students in grades K–5, with a primary focus on conducting psychoeducational evaluations, supporting eligibility determinations, and collaborating with school teams to help students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially-emotionally.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting students through comprehensive assessments and individualized educational planning.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for student assessments and psychoeducational evaluations.
- Conduct evaluations, interpret results, and prepare reports to support eligibility determinations and educational planning.
- Participate in and facilitate multidisciplinary evaluation team meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to address student needs.
- Support students experiencing academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental challenges.
Consult with school staff and families regarding interventions, accommodations, and strategies to promote student success.
Maintain accurate evaluation documentation and ensure compliance with special education requirements and timelines.
Caseload Details
- Elementary school setting serving students in grades K–5.
- Primary focus on psychoeducational evaluations and student assessments.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support eligibility decisions and educational planning.
- Full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
- Expected work hours are approximately 8:30 AM–3:40 PM, pending confirmation.
- Temporary assignment running January 4, 2027, through May 28, 2027.
Qualifications
Valid Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting assessment results.
- Knowledge of special education eligibility requirements and evaluation timelines.
- Strong written communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
