Job Description

Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a Mental Health Therapist to be part of our Behavioral Health Team in Asheville, NC.

A newly hired Therapist/Behavioral Health Service Provider can receive a sign on bonus of up to $5,000.00, depending on the service agreement chosen. Service contracts are for 1, 2, or 3 years.

What You'll Do

The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing outpatient mental health treatment/service to patients in the clinic setting. The position requires interaction with provider agencies and referral sources, participating in team meetings when appropriate and as requested, and offering education and support to the community.

Disclaimer

This role requires flexibility to transport clients/patients to organization-sponsored services or resources that address their basic and clinical needs. Drivers transporting clients/patients or driving company vehicles are to be age 21 or greater. For those using their personal vehicles to transport clients/patients, a certificate of insurance is required demonstrating at least the minimum required NC auto liability insurance.

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Required (fully or provisionally licensed or license eligible)
  • 2 years clinical work experience preferred
  • LCAS or LCAS-A licensure a plus
  • Ability to perform comprehensive clinical assessments and develop and implement viable treatment plans
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records preferred
  • Experience in individual and group therapy including recovery work
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Bilingual a plus

Key Responsibilities

The Mental Health Therapist provides outpatient mental health treatment and services to patients within a clinic setting. They are also responsible for collaborating with referral agencies and providing education and support to the community.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a license as a Clinical Social Worker or Clinical Mental Health Counselor, or be eligible for licensure. Two years of clinical work experience and proficiency with electronic health records are preferred.
