Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled planned therapy based on IEP goals and objectives that have been developed by the supervising speech- language pathologist.

• Prepare clinical materials, monitor and support communication activities in the classroom.

• Document student performance (e. g., tallying data for the SLP to use; preparing charts, records, and graphs) and report this information to the supervising SLP.

• Adhere to a daily schedule developed with the supervising SLP.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.

• Current Texas state license as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant.

• Working knowledge of federal laws, state guidelines and DAS policies.

• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, instructional and behavioral modifications and accommodations.

Benefits & Compensation

• Salary: $30 - $45/hour
