Responsibilities

Fellowship Structure & Learning Experience

This 1-year fellowship enhances therapists’ skills in advanced-level practice and prepares them for the AOTA Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation (BCPR) exam.

Fellows Will Complete

• Four 12-week rotations with clinical teams at our inpatient rehabilitation facility
• Four 1-week observational rotations across rehabilitation continuum of care.

One 3 credit hours course from Texas Woman’s University’s School of Occupational Therapy (co-sponsor of the program)

• Qualifications
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program (required)
• Valid TX Occupational Therapy License (required)
• American Heart Association BLS CPR (required within 30 days of employment)
• Candidates with 1 to 3 years’ experience highly desirable, six months of prior OT experience strongly preferred; relevant fieldwork experience in in-patient rehabilitation may be considered
