Therapitas has served Spanish-speaking families in Oklahoma since 2009 with one mission: ensuring Spanish-speaking children have the same access to quality therapy as any other child. If you are a passionate Occupational Therapist looking for a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, we want to talk to you.
We’re hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary outpatient team in Oklahoma City. We provide trained interpreter support, so Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required. And for those who want to learn: we'll provide Spanish lessons or send you to Antigua, Guatemala.
Why Join Therapitas?
Mission-Driven Work: Be part of a team that expands access to care and makes a meaningful difference for children and families.
Spanish Immersion Program (SIP): Want to learn Spanish? We'll send you to Antigua, Guatemala to immerse yourself in the language and culture. We partner with schools and host families to give you a structured, safe experience abroad. All experience levels welcome. Watch this video for more information about SIP.
Work-Life Balance: Documentation gets done at work, not at home. We build documentation time into your schedule, protect your lunch hour, and use unfilled cancellations as additional documentation time.
Structured Mentorship and Support: New hires go through a formal training and ramp-up period, with ongoing support through regular one-on-ones, documentation guidance, and professional development.
Collaborative Team Environment: Work alongside experienced OTs, PTs, SLPs, and support staff who value teamwork, growth, and excellent care.
A Sustainable Caseload: Most therapists carry about 23–28 hours of direct therapy per week, with caseloads built around experience and preferences.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized plans of care for pediatric patients.
- Provide skilled intervention to support fine and visual motor skills, sensory processing challenges, executive functioning, and overall functional independence.
- Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical presentation.
- Document services in our easy-to-use EMR to meet clinical standards and payer requirements.

What Your Caseload May Look Like
You’ll see mostly toddlers and school-age children, with some infants and adolescents. Patients may range from 2 weeks to 20 years old. Common diagnoses include developmental delay, sensory processing challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other genetic or neurological conditions.
