Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Family Medicine Clinic, Camp Lejeune, NC
Facility: Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune – Family Medicine Clinic
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Position Overview
MDPerm is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide behavioral health services within the Family Medicine Clinic at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
The LCSW will work collaboratively with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to support the behavioral health needs of active-duty military personnel and their families. This position offers an opportunity to practice in a multidisciplinary military healthcare environment, providing clinical intervention, crisis support, care coordination, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical social work and behavioral health services to patients within the Family Medicine Clinic.
Deliver direct and indirect patient care services, including behavioral health support and crisis intervention.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Develop and implement discharge plans, follow-up care, and referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities and community resources.
- Provide crisis intervention services to patients experiencing acute behavioral health concerns.
- Coordinate with military and civilian community resources to support service members and their families.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other support services.
Provide educational presentations and outreach programs addressing the needs of military personnel and their families.
Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination, staff education, and applicable Family Advocacy Program activities.
Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in accordance with military treatment facility policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution, subject to the applicable basic contract requirements.
Licensure
Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in any U.S. state, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker within the past three years.
- Must demonstrate clinical competency in social work within the preceding two years.
Additional Requirements
U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required military installation access and security clearance eligibility.
- Successful completion of required credentialing, privileging, and occupational health requirements.
