Psychiatric Technician - Atrium Health Charlotte Behavioral Health Emergency Department (ED) FT Days

Key Responsibilities

The Psychiatric Technician will observe, report, and document changes in patient behavior to the charge nurse while interacting with patients therapeutically. Responsibilities also include assisting in and participating in various group activities and ensuring patient rounds are made at least every half hour.

Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED is required, though a Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with relevant patient care experience in a hospital setting. Candidates must possess good therapeutic communication skills and obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire, in addition to holding current BLS certification.
