Compensation

$55,000 - $59,000 To learn more about the program, please visit nyap.org Position Summary: Outpatient Mental Health Therapists with National Youth Advocate Program work as part of an integral service team.

In this role, you will deliver Mental and Behavioral Health Services to adolescents, youth and children, as well as their families, who have been identified by public and private referrals and outside agencies.

Referral sources may include County and non-County Agencies, self-referrals, schools, and healthcare providers.

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, you will work closely with youth, family, foster parents, and community partners, providing counseling or therapy, advocacy and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.

Responsibilities

Provides individual, group, and family mental health therapy, case management, transportation, and other professional services to clients served Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family in the community mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.

Regularly reviews and modifies youth-based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals. Establishes and maintains strong relationship with adolescents, youth and children as well as assigned foster parents and families of origin.

Assists in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth’s primary family or other permanent living arrangement consistent with the youth’s case plan. Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served Minimum

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution. LSW or LPC required; LISW LPCC preferred Experience in providing both individual and family therapy preferred Experience working in direct service with youth and families preferred.
