Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Main Campus - Inpatient - Jackson, MS, Position Type: PRN, Education Level: Graduate Degree, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Health Care, Occupational Therapist Methodist Rehabilitation Center | Inpatient Rehabilitation Join Our Team Methodist Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team.
As an Occupational Therapist at MRC, you'll work with patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, helping them regain skills, improve functional independence, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
You'll collaborate closely with an experienced interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and support each patient's recovery goals. New graduates are welcome to apply! What You’ll Do Provide skilled Occupational Therapy services to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on their diagnosis, functional abilities, goals, and rehabilitation needs. Develop, document, and implement appropriate treatment plans designed to promote optimal patient outcomes and greater independence.
Provide therapy to patients with a wide range of diagnoses, injuries, ages, and functional needs. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Participate in regularly scheduled interdisciplinary patient care-team conferences to contribute to the plan of care, therapy goals, patient progress, and discharge recommendations.
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, interventions, and patient progress.
Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills while working in a dynamic rehabilitation environment. Encourage, motivate, and inspire patients as they work toward greater independence and recovery. Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the rehabilitation process.
Schedule PRN – As Needed Inpatient Rehabilitation Scheduling based on patient and department needs Qualifications: What We’re Looking For Appropriate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current, valid Mississippi Occupational Therapy license, or eligibility for licensure.
American Red Cross BLS certification. New graduates are welcome to apply. Clinical experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or outpatient therapy is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
