About the Role

Join NewCourtland as a Center Counselor – Philadelphia, PA in United States. Position Summary: Part of the NewCourtland network, Philadelphia Senior Center located at 509 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147, has an opportunity for an exceptional Center Counselor who is versed in the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of older clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Telephones contacts to clients for need determination, information referral and advocacy sufficient to resolve problems.
  • · Requests for all home visits must be approved by Center Director.
  • · Demonstrates adequate use of referral resources to meet client needs.
  • · Participates in routine outreach assistance.

Requirements

Candidates must possess an Associate's degree and knowledge of the physical, social, and cultural aspects of the community, along with techniques in interpersonal relations and community organization. One to two years of social work experience working with seniors is preferred.
