Job Description
Build a flexible private-practice caseload without leaving your school-based career. Psych Associates is seeking a part-time licensed therapist to provide outpatient counseling during evenings and Saturdays. This opportunity may be especially well suited for a school counselor who wants to expand into private-practice work while maintaining a school position.
We are an established private-pay behavioral health practice serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in the Springfield area. We provide a strong referral stream, furnished office space, administrative support, scheduling assistance, billing, and practice infrastructure so clinicians can focus on excellent clinical care.
Evening and Saturday appointments are among our highest-demand referral times. The clinician joining our practice can develop a consistent supplemental caseload based on personal availability and practice demand. A school counselor could maintain a regular school schedule while seeing patients on selected evenings, Saturdays, school breaks, and during the summer.
Responsibilities include
- Provide evidence-informed outpatient psychotherapy
- Develop individualized treatment plans and review patient progress
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Coordinate care with families, schools, physicians, and other professionals when clinically appropriate and properly authorized
- Manage safety concerns and mandated-reporting responsibilities appropriately
- Maintain professional and ethical boundaries
- Offer a dependable schedule that includes evenings and/or Saturdays
Required qualifications
- Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field
- Current Missouri clinical license or eligibility to practice under an approved Missouri supervision arrangement
- Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care
- Dependability and consistent availability
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and promptly
- Interest in developing and maintaining a part-time caseload
- Ability to provide in-person services at our Springfield office
Preferred qualifications
- Current experience as a school counselor or school-based mental-health professional
- Experience treating children, adolescents, and families
- Familiarity with school-related, behavioral, developmental, or family concerns
- Training in evidence-based or evidence-informed treatment approaches
- Availability for multiple evenings, Saturdays, school breaks, or summer hours
- Interest in developing a defined clinical specialty
- 8 sessions per week: approximately $30,000
- 10 sessions per week: approximately $37,500
- 12 sessions per week: approximately $45,000
- 15 sessions per week: approximately $56,250
