The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide therapy to maximize patient speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities to aid in recovery. Responsibilities also include communicating patient progress, documenting care according to regulations, and instructing family or nursing staff on follow-through programs.
Candidates must have a Master's level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification requirements, along with a minimum of six months of experience working with adult and geriatric populations. A current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of service and current CPR certification are mandatory.
