About the Role
As a Pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental well-being.
You will diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, while also focusing on preventive health care and health education for patients and their families.
This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including nurse practitioners, family medicine physicians, and specialists to deliver coordinated and effective care. You will also engage in clinical research and stay current with medical advancements to continually improve patient outcomes.
Ultimately, your work will contribute to fostering healthy growth and development in pediatric patients across diverse communities in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited pediatric residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
- Valid medical license to practice in the United States.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical pediatric care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or training in emergency medicine or internal medicine related to pediatric care.
- Fellowship or additional certification in subspecialties such as pediatric cardiology or neonatology.
- Experience in clinical research or academic medicine.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and health informatics.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare teams including nurse practitioners and family medicine physicians.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients to diagnose illnesses and injuries.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Provide preventive care, including immunizations, health education, and developmental screenings.
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners, family medicine doctors, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Respond to pediatric emergencies and provide urgent care as needed.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance pediatric medical knowledge and practices.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree, have completed an accredited pediatric residency, and possess a valid medical license in the United States. Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics is required.
