How you’ll contribute
A Respiratory Therapist Student who excels in this role:
- Assist respiratory therapists with preparing for and providing patient care.
- Deliver routine therapy as delegated by a therapist.
- Assess patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
- Educate the patient and family about the patient’s illness and provide information about community support groups and other resources.
- Monitor, receive, stock, and distribute respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
- Maintain storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.

What We’re Looking For
Applicants should be a current 2nd year respiratory therapist student.
Additional Requirements Include
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire date.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NPR) preferred.
- State Board of Respiratory Care

Key Responsibilities
Assist respiratory therapists in providing patient care and delivering routine delegated therapies. Monitor patient conditions, educate families on illnesses, and manage respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
Requirements
Applicants must be current second-year respiratory therapist students. BLS certification is required within one month of hire, while ACLS, PALS, and NPR certifications are preferred.
