Job Description

This position is a full-time opportunity in a facility in New Bern.
Salary: $$80,000 (DOE) + Full Benefits + Professional Development Support
Schedule: Flexible M–F | Regional Travel to our New Bern EMPOWER location

Travel Expectations
This role may include variable regional travel requirement to other EMPOWER sites, depending on program needs. All work-related travel is reimbursed via mileage pay. You’ll have flexibility to plan travel around program needs while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
What You’ll Do
- Lead behavior support programs fostering family engagement & measurable growth.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments & develop Positive Behavior Support Plans.
- Train and mentor staff, DSPs, and supervisors in ABA best practices.
- Collaborate across service lines (EMPOWER, ICS, ABA) to maximize outcomes.
- Deliver in-service training & represent ESPH at professional conferences.

Minimum Qualifications
- Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing
- Licensure: Licensed Behavioral Analyst in NC
Experience
- 1+ years working with children with developmental disabilities and/or autism (preferred)
- 1+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity (preferred)
- Strong written/verbal communication, organization, and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and unrestricted driving privileges
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & EMR systems
- Ability to work effectively with participants, families, and teams in homes, schools, and community settings

Key Responsibilities
Lead behavior support programs by conducting functional behavior assessments and developing positive behavior support plans. Mentor and train staff in ABA best practices while collaborating across service lines to maximize client outcomes.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and a North Carolina license. At least one year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities and in a leadership capacity is preferred.
