Locum AA (Anesthesiologist Assistant), CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist) Anesthesiology;Cardiac Anesthesiology

This on-site, contract position offers an excellent opportunity for an associate-level anesthesia provider to deliver high-quality perioperative care within a collaborative and fast-paced clinical environment.

In this role, you will work alongside board-certified anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative teams to administer anesthesia and monitor patients undergoing a range of cardiac and general surgical procedures. Your clinical expertise will directly contribute to patient safety, positive surgical outcomes, and the overall efficiency of the anesthesia department.

Responsibilities

Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care under the supervision of a licensed anesthesiologist

• Provide anesthesia support for cardiac surgical procedures, including bypass and valvular cases
• Perform pre-anesthetic patient assessments and evaluate medical histories
• Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, and oxygenation throughout surgical procedures
• Manage airway placement, ventilation, and anesthetic depth during operations
• Respond promptly to intraoperative emergencies and hemodynamic instability
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and perioperative nursing staff
• Document anesthesia records accurately and maintain compliance with clinical protocols
• Participate in post-anesthesia recovery planning and patient handoffs
• Ensure proper setup, calibration, and safety checks of anesthesia equipment
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines

Requirements

• Associate-level experience in anesthesiology or cardiac anesthesiology
• Graduation from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant or Nurse Anesthetist program
• Current certification as an AA or CRNA in good standing
• Active state licensure or eligibility to practice in Georgia
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency in administering general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care
• Experience or familiarity with cardiac anesthesia procedures is preferred
• Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and airway management
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure settings
• Ability to work on-site in Atlanta on a contract basis
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety standards
• Adaptability to varying surgical schedules and clinical environments

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-7p or 7a-5p

Weekend call shifts available

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

ACLS and DEA required
