Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Physical Therapist Assistant for a travel / contract position in St. Joseph, MO. Accepting both local traveler candidates.
Position Details

- Pay Rate: Range $1840 to $1920 Weekly Gross pay (Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Shifts available: Days
Shift timings: 8 Hours; Days, 8.00 am - 5.00 pm
Schedule: 40 hours per week guaranteed, 5 shifts per week, Mon-Fri, No Weekends, No call
Position Requirements
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant experience: 1+ years - Required
- LTC or Rehab experience: Highly preferred
- Prior travel experience: Highly preferred
Education, License and Certification Requirements
- PTA License for State of Missouri or Compact - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA - Required
Job Description
PTAs implement components of patient care, obtain data related to the treatments provided, and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary.
PTAs assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to people at the end of life.
- Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups
- Read instructions from Physical Therapist
- Work directly with Physical Therapist to assist patients
- Speak with families to find best at-home techniques
- Keep physical therapy clean and organized
- Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to physical therapy area
- Teach patients techniques like balance training
Key Responsibilities
Implement patient care components and collaborate with Physical Therapists to modify treatments as necessary. Assist patients of all ages with stretching, exercises, and balance training while maintaining an organized therapy area.
Requirements
Requires a valid Missouri or Compact PTA license and BLS certification from the AHA. Candidates must have at least one year of PTA experience, with LTC or rehab experience highly preferred.
