Pharmacist (Outpatient) (Per-Diem)
Job Description
Purpose & Scope:
Responsible for safe, accurate, and rational distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees, and general public as well as supervision of technical personnel. Accurately interprets and evaluates prescriptions and drug therapy, counsels patients, and dispenses medications.
Coordinates work flow with other team members to ensure a productive and efficient environment. This shall be carried out with all state and Federal laws, JCHAO standards, hospital / department policies and procedures.
Education
Graduate of Pharmacy is required.
Experience
One year of experience in outpatient/retail pharmacy is preferred.
Certification/Licensure
Licensed as a Pharmacist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required.

Requirements
Candidates must be a graduate of a pharmacy program and hold a valid pharmacist license from the Virginia Department of Health Professions. One year of experience in an outpatient or retail pharmacy setting is preferred.
